First Noel

These are my Christmas cards that I screen-printed the other week. They just of a little illustration I did based on turning the letter 'A' into a mustached angel called Noel.

Snow #2

Soooo while it's snowing up a storm in England I'm having to make up my own Winter Wonderland here in Aus so this week I'm going with the Tiga remix of Miike Snow. Turn up the speakers and let it hit you in the face like a well aimed snowball. Bamm!

Kaikoura

Went into Hoyne on Friday to pick up a bottle of Kaikoura Sounds, the wine label I designed while I was on my internship at Hoyne. Was nice to see everyone again at the Sydney studio too!

Postcards to a Small Island

Me and my lovely friend Fliss (www.thisisfliss.co.uk) have recently started a postcard project where we design, make and inevitably send postcards between England and Australia to each other. Its early days but we should hopefully end up with a nice little stack of handwritten keepsakes, just as post should be.

Last weekend I went to Omnibus Lane in Ultimo to see this years posters for EyeSaw. It was nearing the end of the exhibition and most of the works were in a bit of a trashed state...but I kinda liked that. x

Last Monday I started the seemingly never-ending task of hand-rendering in ballpoint a presentation for the 7x7 talk at the Powerhouse Museum Sydney. 2 days and 24 nurofen later, here are a few of the pages from Andy Hoynes speech on Future Trends in Design. 

Sand&Snow

So when I was a little I had a book..this book in fact:

I liked it very much because it was all about two of my favourite things. The Seaside and the Snow, summer and winter, Australia and England. I called my blog Sand&Snow because all these years later I still don't know which I like more. But then again, I am very indecisive.

So starting from today I will try to put up at least one new bit of work, or a photo or something that records my adventures at least once a week. Magic Times.
